Many physicians are wary of the impact changing their daily routine will have on their practice, and with good reason: during the transition period most doctors have to see fewer patients and work harder to document in new ways. nAbleMD has several features to allow you to make the transition with the minimum amount of impact, and our team will work with you to select the choices that make sense for your practice. For instance, several of our practices transitioned gradually by starting new charts electronically while maintaining paper charts for existing patients. nAbleMD tracked which patients still had paper charts on the schedule so that staff knew which charts needed to be pulled each day. Other practices have made the change piece by piece thanks to our "pay for what you use" subscription plans, many starting with E-Prescriptions or our Immunization Charts.
Ease of Use
Our template-driven medical record allows you to complete the patient's chart with a few clicks of the mouse or a few taps on a tablet. The result can then be edited and revised with a keyboard or voice dictation software. nAbleMD's record flows smoothly from beginning to end: the chief complaint can be recorded as a list of symptoms from the appointment, converted into an HPI by template and fleshed out with appropriate duration and other elements. Worksheet templates can be used to guide your examination based on the patient's symptoms, leading to an assessment. Once an assessment is made, treatment plan templates are suggested and selected with a click, writing prescriptions, scheduling recalls and more.
Security and Privacy
Our fine-grained access controls allows you to restrict access to individual pieces of the record by user rather than a broadly defined role, a level of control not found in many other systems. Furthermore, entire charts can be marked as private, allowing access only to selected users, with an option to allow logged emergency access to other staff members.
